Our food manufacturers already have low-waste production methods in place, and they are edging more toward zero-waste certification.
Zero-waste certification is given to American businesses with incredibly low rates of waste. Currently, there is one major car manufacturer on the list, along with a tire manufacturer and a renowned tea company. As the American food industry continues to expand, manufacturers are demanding tighter production standards and less waste from their subsidiaries. Right now, there may be only six businesses that have achieved zero-waste production status, but that number should skyrocket in the next few years.
